Hey friends, I'm Rachel Grohl and I'm your host for the Hearing Jesus podcast, where I help you to know God and to make him known.

0:12.1

I think sometimes it's easy to wonder if you've done enough to earn God's love or if you've gone too far to even receive it in the first place.

0:23.2

That's a human emotion and thought pattern that I think a lot of people have, but it's so

0:29.0

far from the heart of the gospel message. And so in this part of John's gospel, we're going to

0:36.0

see that Jesus speaks very clearly about why he came,

0:40.0

what exactly he offers, and how deep God's love really is.

1:48.5

so must the son of man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes will have eternal life in him.

1:55.6

For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish

2:03.5

but have eternal life for god did not send the sun into the world to judge the world but so that

2:11.6

the world might be saved through him the one who believes in him is not judged. The one who does not believe has been

2:19.7

judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the
