sets up an alternative history where the Soviet Union

beats the United States to the moon in 1969 just by a couple weeks. But far from

ending America's interest in exploring the final frontier,

this gives the space race a new urgency for several decades to come in some ways.

Essentially the Nuclear Arms Race, arguably, if you're watching the show is replaced with the space race arms race of sorts

As many listeners of this podcast know every year we do some alternative history some what ifs you know what

if certain butterfly effects did happen or didn't happen and look this year's a

presidential election 30 years from now may serve as an important butterfly effect moment because certainly in international affairs

depending on what we do as a country

A butterfly flaps its wings and we'll see what happens in Ukraine. A butterfly flaps its wings on

election day. We see what happens in Gaza. You get my drift here. So it may be fun to do

alternative history but it actually you have to be really deep in actual history to do it well and this show does it well.
