Good morning.

I'm just returning from a gathering of pastors and heard from just a wise man who was sharing

about how preachers of revivals in days past would approach the pulpit with fear and trepidation

and reverence. And I was comparing that today how

you know we have our hands in our pockets we're pacing around the stage you know cool illustrations

and shoes and whatnot and and I just I just have been thinking about that and if I'm honest

teaching through the proverbs you know it can feel more tips and tricks

and, like, practical wisdom.

So I'm kind of fighting that in my heart this morning of wanting the Spirit of God to do something

that in a minute when you leave here, you return to your cars.

It is very possible that there's a supernatural work that happens in

your hearts over the next 35 40 minutes together and and so I'm just going to pray that that would

happen that the Lord would make all of the changes that he wants to make and then we'll we'll dive

back into the Proverbs and so Lord I do I know that your word does not return void and that

your Holy Spirit preserved the Book of Wisdom, which tends to be more practical in nature

than looking into the resurrection, an empty tomb. And I just ask that you would speak to us today,

that there would be a changing that happens in my

heart, in their hearts, whatever work you want to do, that you would protect us from the

enemy, that you would protect us from the one who seeks to steal, kill, kill, and destroy this

morning and remove the distractions that as we read from your word that is

sharper than a two-edged sword piercing both bone and marrow that, that you would do the work
