Hi, Bombs Squad. Welcome to Food for Thought, a radio Cherry Bomb mini-series. I'm Carrie Diamond,

editor-in-chief of Cherry Bomb magazine. We wanted to know what's on the mind of food folk

across the country, so we went on tour to eat, drink, and talk with hundreds of you

and recorded the whole thing live. Today's stop brings us to Kansas City, Missouri. We recorded this

episode at Corvino, the amazing supper club and tasting room, where we heard from eight

I'm Christina Corvino.

I'm the co-owner GM of Corvino's Supper Club and Tasty Room and a certified

somelier.

And I am all these things because I failed at everything else I tried to do.

When I was young, after school, I'd sit crisscross in front of the TV and I'd watch Julia Child.

I loved her. She looked like someone who would invite you to her house and give you like a big boozemi hug when you walked in the door.

Oh, and she was a really good cook, too. But I never wanted to be a cook.

I just really wanted to be Julia Child.

She, during one show, was making a potato pancake.

And while trying to flip it in the pan,

it fell apart all over the stovetop.
