And this week, we are talking all about food allergies, food sensitivities, and those food tests or food sensitivity tests that you probably see advertised every single time you open up

0:40.1

your Instagram. We are joined by Dr. Farah Khan, who will introduce in just one moment, and you're

0:47.7

going to love her. She is bringing sassy Farah energy, and we have lots to say on this topic. Before we get into it, a little public health

0:57.8

update. So this article dropped, let's see, February 11th in science, and the headline is

1:06.5

rare, dangerous side effects of some COVID-19 vaccines explained. So a groundbreaking study

1:13.0

uncovers why the adenovirus, am I saying that correctly, Sarah? Is it? Adenovirus-based

1:20.0

shots caused life-threatening blood clots and bleeding in some people. So if y'all remember

1:25.7

early in the pandemic, I don't remember the timing, but completely

separate from the Pfizer and Moderna MRNA shots, there were these other vaccines. Remember

1:36.2

we saw the safety signal immediately and those shots were pulled from the market, right? So that's

2:08.3

why you don't see those shots available anymore. But scientists really wanted to get to the bottom

2:13.2

of why was that happening. And so there was this great study that was done. And I just want to share a

2:18.3

little bit about what was found. So here we go. So both of those vaccines, the AstraZeneca and J&J

2:25.1

vaccines, used an adenovirus, so a modified common cold virus as a delivery vehicle. And researchers

2:32.7

found that natural adenovirus infections, so not talking about

2:37.9

vaccines, just the infection, can actually rarely cause a similar syndrome. So this tells us that what was
