This week was wild because I was dealing with an area that I have been hearing about for a long time, fetal abductions. I think it's a really hard one to talk about.

It's one of the most horrific crimes that I can imagine. When I read about Reagan's mother having to find her daughter's body there and find out that her grandchild was missing, I mean, and cut out of her body. I really, I can't even imagine,

cannot even imagine the horror. And I just think a lot about the strength that she showed

when she came to court and faced Taylor and read that victim impact statement. I always want to

see, I don't want to in any way blame victims here, but I do want to try to give out

information that could potentially help someone else. And this case brought up a lot of questions

about what I call the gray area. And this happens when you've got someone who's a con artist.

And a lot of people in their life typically know that they are lying

about things. A lot of people in Taylor's life knew that she lied about being pregnant in the past.

She had a tendency to lie about other things. The question is, what do you do in those cases?

And this is something I've faced myself. I just want to share a quick anecdote for my own life that is

relevant. A long time ago, some of you may have heard the story of how a friend of mine was

dating the guy who was better known as Dirty John, John Meahan, who ended up being arrested.

Eventually he was killed. And he was a con artist. When that happened, I was able to take his mugshot and arrest record

and show it to my friend. So in that case, at least, there was some hard evidence. But I've currently

got a friend who I absolutely believe is living with a con artist. Okay. Now, I'm a private investigator.

And I worry all the time. And it's that delicate balance that I think you try to find with domestic violence victims sometimes. You want to tell them that you were scared for their safety.
