Hi, blood money listeners. This week I want to talk to you about fake kidnapping scams and sex trafficking

scams. By the way, I will normally put out bonus content for every episode. Last week I didn't

because I felt like we had pretty much covered everything that we needed to cover in the episode.

So I normally will only put out bonus content if I feel like there is so much more going on or a side story from the episode that I just can't ignore.

And that was definitely the case with Sherry Pippini and the fake kidnapping.

As a PI, I have noticed over the years there is a massive side business in people who insert themselves into kidnapping and

sex trafficking cases. And there are so many fake experts out there. It's really scary. And it can be

tempting to write off the Cameron Gambles of the world as funny. And it is funny in a way because

it's so absurd the things he's saying. But they also

do a lot of damage because by putting fake information out there, these people distract from the

real victims of sex trafficking who are everywhere. They're in our communities. We see them all

the time. If we're distracted, if we're scrolling through our social media feed,

and we're following a link to a fake TikTok reporting of people sex trafficking at Target,

or we're looking at a news story about Wayfair. I don't know if you guys remember that,

really a front for children who were being sex trafficked. The whole story turned out to be fake,

but it was it was shared so many times and took up so much time and energy that could have been

better spent on real victims. I think one of the biggest problems is that I mentioned the movie

taken in the episode and don't get me wrong, I love Liam Neeson. I love the movie. I think it's
