it would be another 50 years before another African American woman, Whoopi Goldberg and Ghost,

would snatch an Oscar for best supporting actress.

And then it wouldn't be until 2001 that a Black woman, Hallie Berry in Monsters Ball,

would win Best Actress.

But what if you could go back in time and rewrite Hollywood's history to be more black,

queer, and feminist?

In the new Netflix series Hollywood, producer Ryan Murphy does just that and proves that movies don't just show us how the world is, they show us how the world can be.
