Ageism affects everyone at different times of their lives.

When you're young, no one takes you seriously, or they tell you, wait your turn until you're older.

And then when you get a little gray in your hair, you're sometimes dismissed as useless,

or you simply become invisible to others.

A few months ago, comedian Sam Pancake appeared on a talk show where he talked about how

some young people have such a fear of getting older that they'd rather be dead than get old.

His conversation went viral and it really struck a record with the way gay men view aging.

Today, comedian and actor Sam Pancake, who's been just about everything from friends to Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, joins us to look at gay-gism.

In the 80s, when I was teens and early 20s, it was a terrible time to be a gay person, as we all know, with AIDS.

Men were dying. Men had HIV. Like, we lost so many people. It was just go to a party.
