From hoo-ha to dingling, from foo-foo to weiner, in almost every family there's no shortage of safe words parents come up with to describe private parts to their kids.

In the family of award-winning director, writer Robert O'Hara, they called his fun stick Booty Candy.

So when he grew up, he wrote a play called Booty Candy that tells the coming-of-age story of a young boy who has to learn what it means to grow up, gay and black.

Today, Booty Candy writer-director Robert O'Hara, who has been

described as a cross between Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, and Rupal, joins us to talk about

booty candy, the cultural impact of Obama's presidency, how it's Tyler Perry's world, and we're

just living in it. Also joining us as Chicago actor Osiris Capera, who, like Tyler Perry, plays a wide range

of characters in the play.
