One of the most inventive musicians I've ever had the pleasure of knowing is Skip Shirey,

who grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and went on to become one of the world's most beloved performers of unusual musical instruments.

Cage-inspired prepared guitar, Skip has traveled the world as a solo artist, circus performer, and

composer, and now has a brand new album, a bottle of whiskey and a handful of beads. Today, my

soul brother, Skip Shiree, joins us to talk about his amazing journey traveling

the world with Amanda Palmer.
