Summary
Live from Italy, Jake and I are recapping the Jewish holidays, what stuck with us from the rabbi’s sermon, and what it was like hosting a holiday for the first time. We’re sharing the highs and lows from our travel day to Puglia, including our very first business class flight and whether we think it’s worth the hype. Then we answer listener questions: what to do when your sister gets engaged while hiding emotional cheating, whether random selfies from someone you're dating signal interest, and if it’s a bad sign when someone goes on vacation and never texts first.

| 0:00.0 | We should try and make this like a perfect edit free recording, Poffs included. All right. Boniorno. Hi. Chao. Chao. We're in Italy. We're in Puglia or Puglia? Puglia or Puglia. Puglia. We made it. The G is silent. Yeah. I want to start by saying I'm so proud of us. |
| 0:21.6 | And I'm so proud of you. |
| 0:22.7 | And I'm going to start off with my gratitude for you because this is not your job. |
| 0:28.3 | And you are sick right now and you're on very little sleep. |
| 0:32.7 | And yet you're still doing this. |
| 0:35.0 | This is my second job. |
| 0:36.5 | Yeah, but it's not. Zero income. I really appreciate that you were willing to do this. And I am really proud of us for, you know, not being like, oh, it's inconvenient this week. Like, let's skip it. We're like, no, how cool. We couldn't do it in Italy. We have not skipped an episode. We've done it in Turks and Caicos in Italy now. Have we done anywhere else, cool? We've only been doing it for like four months, but we've done it in two pretty cool places. So far. Yeah. Excited to see where else we go. Yeah. So this is, this is our Saturday. We just traveled. We left on Friday. We left Friday morning. We left Friday morning |
| 1:13.2 | to get here. We've been traveling for like 18 hours straight. We just relax for like four hours. |
| 1:19.1 | Now we're doing the recording. We're going to go for dinner after this. But it's been a really, |
| 1:23.9 | really long, I guess 24 hours, 30 hours or so. Because you know what it is? Today feels like it blends in with yesterday. Because we didn't get a full night's sleep anywhere. It feels like yesterday and today are the same day. Yeah, I think I've had like a combined six hours of sleep in the last two days or something like that. That's good, though. I mean, I don't know. We got like, we just got like two, two and a half hours of sleep on the first flight, which was the big flight. It was like eight hour flight. And then we both slept for like maybe 45 minutes on the second flight. Did we? No, we didn't sleep for a second on either. No. No. We slept in the car for 45 minutes. |
| 2:01.4 | Yes. |
| 2:01.7 | And then we had a nap for like two hours. Yep. Okay. So yeah. We've got it. We did well. Sure. I feel better than expected. Yeah, I feel better than expected too. I think I have a really good sleep tonight. I feel fine right now to do this recording, to go for drinks, and then to have dinner, and then to get a really good night's sleep before tomorrow. |
| 2:23.4 | It's so funny because we are we napped in the bed here, and the bed here is so comfortable, like the most comfortable bed ever. |
| 2:30.7 | And it couldn't be more opposite from the bed that we just purchased and planned to have for the next like decade. |
| 2:35.4 | Well, we think that we need to like break it in. I mean, it's an interesting topic to like what happens with the bed, I guess. |
| 2:40.8 | It's so hard. |
| 2:41.5 | Buying a bed is so hard. |
| 2:43.2 | Yeah, it is a pretty hard thing. |
| 2:44.4 | I guess, like, people used to go to, like, stores all that. |
| 2:46.5 | People still do. |
| 2:47.3 | I mean, there are, like, mattress shops. |
| 2:48.8 | Do you know what I realized? |
