Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the Punchable News Townhouse. I'm Anna Palmer with, of course.

I am Jake Sherman still. We are on. Day 30 of the government shutdown. There's no resolution in sight to this crisis. We keep writing that every single morning on Punchable News a.m. And the house has now been out, Jake, for 41 days. 41 days. Also a great Dave Matthews song

for number 41. Just making that note. This will be the longest shutdown by the end of next week.

And as Brez wrote this morning, I think he wrote because it sounded like him, barring some miracle.

It's going to be the longest shutdown because I don't, maybe it does end before next week. I don't know. It doesn't seem like they can get their act together. They're leaving town today for

the weekend. And it is a flyout day. So it is going to be interesting to see what happens next

week. We're starting to see some cracks in the armor. We'll talk a little bit about that, but on the show.

So I am shocked.

I continue to be shocked by the shutdown.

We have Catherine Clark on this morning, the Democrat from Massachusetts, in House leadership.

We're going to be talking, obviously, shut down, but redistricting as well.

And about just the Democratic strategy, are they entrenched and

continuing to hold strong or are we starting to see some of the fissures that we are, I think,

starting to see in the Senate? That's right. And much to discuss, we'll break that all down with

Jeff Bennett of the PBS News Hour. Also, Julie Sirkin of NBC News, two people who have,
