You know. The murdered, the mysterious, and the lost. In the summer of 2016, there was a docu-series on investigation discovery called The Vanishing Women.

It covered the cases of six women who are missing or found deceased in and around Chilli Coffey, Ohio.

The show took a deep dive, looking closely at the women, the investigation, and the circumstances of the community that may have contributed to the missing and murdered women.

Many of these women struggled with addiction, or were involved in sex work. Both

are high-risk activities. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance don't make them

less loved, less worthy, or less missed. In the late fall of 2017, I started hearing similar stories coming out of Flint,

my Flint, the former General Motors town, once a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
