murdered, the mysterious, and the lost. In the

summer of 2016, there was a docu series on investigation discovery called The Vanishing Women.

It covered the cases of six women who are missing or found deceased in and around Chillicothe

Ohio.

The show took a deep dive looking closely at the women, the investigation, and the circumstances of the community that may have contributed to the missing and murdered women.

Many of these women struggled with addiction or were involved in sex work.

Both are high-risk activities.
