It's your birthday week.

It is my birthday week. You will be actually older by the time people hear this. We just keep getting older and... Every day. Wilder every single day. Time continues to march forward. Yeah, it's very exciting.

But it's great.

I think, I mean, I think we don't talk enough about like the privilege of getting older.

I remember, did you, do you follow or were you following Andrea Gibson, the poet who passed away recently?

Yes.

She had a video that she had posted and then her partner reposted it recently of a filter that

showed you really wrinkly with white hair, like what you would look like, super, super old.

And they were like passing it around.

And it really brought her to tears because she knew that she wasn't going to live to be that old.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And, you know, most people would laugh and be like, oh, my gosh, I look so, like, terrible and old. And she was, like, sobbing because she knew she had terminal cancer and was not going to ever live to really look like that. And it was, that was a really like one of those moments so you're like yeah you know what actually looking old

as a privilege getting old as a privilege worrying about wrinkles and white hair is like something that

not everybody gets to do that's so interesting that you say that because it's we never think that way

that's not like our default way of thinking about things and so it's like like fighting aging and looking at people getting fillers and lip

fillers and all the things and Botox and like all the stuff that we've talked about but we never

really think about the opposite and it's like when you think about it's like yeah duh but like I just

spent the weekend and I'll get to this in a second with a friend who recently lost her husband and

it's like she's in that world she's in that world of like you just never know what's going to happen. Like, you cannot predict and you can live your life and best that you can think that you know what's going to happen. And you just never know. And we can't live in that space every day. it just isn't realistic to like live in that space of like, okay, I have to take every moment for granted
