Summary

A group of middle schoolers plan a harmless night of rebellion—camping out near Eugene’s old mill pond, hidden deep within thorny blackberry bushes. But what starts as innocent fun quickly spirals into fear when an unseen force in the brush begins to move, stalk, and ultimately chase them down a dark and broken street. Was it human, animal… or something far worse? Years later, the sound of wooden-soled footsteps still haunts our caller, who fled into the night and never looked back.

0:38.3	So the reason for my call is I had a few experiences when I was younger.
0:45.5	I'm 29 years old.
0:47.2	And in that time, I would say the most alarming thing that ever happened to me was when I was, I was younger.
0:58.7	I think I was in the 6th or 7th grade.
1:01.7	And I had to pull the old switcher route on my family.
1:09.1	A group of friends and I got together
1:11.0	and came up with a plan
1:12.8	that we were all going to spend the night
1:14.9	at each other's house,
1:16.7	or at least that's what we were going to tell our parents.
1:20.9	So everybody was expected to be a gone away from home,
1:23.7	and we thought we could go out into this kind of area near our house where the
1:32.8	gold mill ponds were and do some camping on our own, have some freedom for the night.
1:40.3	So we got the plan together.
