The Houston in Liberty, mostly in Liberty County, that has come to be known as a

Colonia or a kind of shantytown. The allegation is by the attorney general, and

many people believe this to be the case. The allegation the to illegal aliens and the reason many people feel this way is because they don't

require any paperwork they don't require any documentation so they're selling property to illegal aliens who couldn't otherwise

buy property, but they make it so that those people can buy property by using straw men in their stead, and that's how they kind of get around this

stuff and if you've ever been to a real estate closing you go in a second. I had to

show all this documentation as the title company don't they have to do all that? My

understanding is they do it all in-house. I guess we'll learn a lot from this

lawsuit. But more to the point is that because they are offering something

that no one else will offer because they've created this roundabout way to

circular way to buy a property. This is the allegation. They're charging extremely high interest rates, perhaps in violation of state law.

That's what I've heard, I don't know.

That's what we'll learn.

And because the interest rates are so high, and these people don't have any proven income, lots of them

foreclose. Part of the lawsuit is that that is part of the business, that they want to foreclose so then they get the property back.

Well, I interviewed the developer, Trey Harris, of Colony Ridge.

Was it last year?

Last year and I will say to his credit he came on the air with me. I don't do any

in studio. We did it on the phone but he came on the air with me and he stayed

only for three hours of radio time.
