Hi everybody. Welcome to the women's dating and confidence podcast. My name is Amber, and today we're

0:15.4

going to talk about trying to fix yourself versus trying to free yourself. So before we get started with that,

0:22.6

I wanted to share with you that I just got back from Portland today. I was at Dr. Aziz's

0:28.2

Confidence Breakthrough Live event and I was coaching there and speaking there and I actually gave my

0:34.6

biggest speech yet. It was about 100 people in the room.

0:40.7

And so I'm just going to share with you a little bit.

0:43.9

I was so nervous before, more than I ever have been with other talks that I've given

0:51.5

at his events.

0:52.6

And the reason was because earlier that weekend,

0:56.6

we were thinking of actually not having me do a talk because the topic that I had planned on

1:02.6

speaking on was kind of already coming up a lot during his teaching. And I didn't want it to be

1:08.4

really repetitive. And so I brought that up and we were like,

1:11.6

not sure if we can like redo it so quickly. And that was a discussion. And later that day,

1:19.4

I came up to him and I got him alone and I was like, Aziz, I just need you to trust me.

1:26.7

Like, I can do this and it's going to be really good and it's going to be

1:29.9

really good for these people specifically. And I know I'll do a good job. He was like sold.

1:40.8

And so we decided I was going to give a speech on a different topic. So I spoke about how to

1:47.3

create a community, how to create amazing friendships in your life. And so I was really nervous

1:54.0

before because I really sold myself before and I was like nervous about delivering. And that's kind of a common theme in

2:04.8

my life right now because even with this podcast, like there are more of you listening all

2:11.2

of a sudden. And it's taking me a while to get these podcast episodes done because I feel a lot of pressure

2:20.0

and I'm like, I want it to be really good.
