Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent, so let's go for a walk.

As you can hear, there's some light rain, which has been the nature of the storm.

There are times when the rain is coming down in torrential downpours,

and other times where it's like a light mist.

It really depends on which band of Debbie we are under at the moment.

The wind has been picking up.

At the moment, it feels less than what we had yesterday, but the forecast is actually

indicating that the winds are going to be stronger today. I want to circle back to something

that I talked about yesterday. Yesterday talking about walking in severe weather, and I said there were three things that I've learned and I want to circle back to number one, which is the importance of commitment.

And I want to camp on that during our 10 minute walk today.

And I've got five thoughts about commitment. Number one, and this is important,

and I haven't always believed this. So this is, maybe this is the older, wiser, Dave. Because

five years ago, I don't know that I would have said this, but I firmly believe it now.

And that is, it's okay to take a day off.

It's okay to take a day off for whatever reason.

Certainly, if you're sick or injured and you need time to recovery, take the day off.

Take multiple days off, whatever you need to get better. But let's say you're not hurt. You're not sick.

Life is just crazy. The weather is severe.

It's okay to take a day off.

Your health is not going to be impacted one iota by taking a day off.
