Summary

Last year the Seahawks drafted four players who we watched in the Senior Bowl, and it was five players the year before that. In fact, John Schneider has drafted a player from the college all-star game in each of his seasons has a general manager. So it makes sense to take a hard look at each of the players there who could be a potential fit for Seattle. EJ Snyder of Bootleg Football joins the show to talk about four players on defense and one offensive lineman who has already been mocked to the Seahawks with their 16th overall pick.

I'm Brandon Schultz, and I am back once again with E.J. Snyder of bootleg football.

We talk Shrine Bowl, but now we are talking at Senior Bowl.

0:21.0

It happens afterward. Now, E.J., you didn we are talking at Senior Bowl. It happens afterward.

0:22.2

Now, E.J., you didn't get to attend Senior Bowl this year, but you know what it's like?

0:26.2

You've gone through the film, and I've got five players that I want to talk about that I know that you're familiar with.

0:32.6

And I'm just excited to get into this draft season with you.

0:54.4

Absolutely. Let's do it. The senior bowl roster was tremendous this year. A lot of great players, a lot of great performances. A bunch of these guys were folks that got singled out for having some of the best performances. So I'm excited about it too. I'm going to be focusing heavy on defense. Maybe that's because that's where we tend to see the greatest needs for our Seahawks players. A lot of free agents, whether they're on the

offensive line, linebackers. I mean, you've got to worry about Bobby Wagner retiring.

1:04.1

Jordan Brooks is going to be a free agent. So I got a couple linebackers on the list. But let's

1:08.2

start off on the defensive line, E.J. with Darius Robinson.

1:12.7

And I was surprised that this guy is an edge at 65, 286 pounds. Yes. I, you know this about me because

1:25.6

we worked together in previous draft seasons. I still

1:28.1

differentiate between edge and defensive end because I really do think it's a different role

1:32.7

and it's a different sort of physical skill set. Now, the way I do that when I'm going through

1:37.7

initially is just sort by size. If you're 255 pounds, you're not typically going to be a DE.

1:45.7

So you'll go in the edge pile. But guys like this, I typically put in the DE pile, almost 300 pounds. Like, yep, sure,

1:51.5

you're going to go to the DE pile. And then to do the sort of fine sorting, I watch, right? And I see how

1:57.6

they move, how they line up, how they're typically deployed, how they look

2:01.0

most comfortable, do they ever drop in coverage, things like that.

2:04.1

And that makes the final sorting.

2:05.3

So Darius Robinson, one of the guys is starting the D pile, he's definitely going to the
