What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And on Saturday night, Lakers had their first preseason game following 125 to 108 against the Golden State Warriors. and both of our guys were on the scene.

top line things that I'll get to later

regarding scheme especially that I was really happy with, some other observations that maybe not as much. But, Garius, you were there for the birth of the 2023-24 Lakers. What was your impression of the first preseason game? I mean, it kind of went as expected to a certain extent. You mentioned

that you had some top line items. I brought up a recap for lakers.com, and I mostly covered, like,

the things that I thought were positives. And so let's lead with that here. I thought Anthony Davis

looked fantastic. I'll leave this part of things to you, Pete, when we kick it back to you,

but the places in which he was receiving the ball in order to attack from were different

than what they were primarily last season, which was encouraging. I really thought

DeAngelo Russell had a strong game. I was really pleased with

how Jackson Hayes played as sort of a backup big. I liked the way Gabe Vincent played Mike

just in terms of like his control and command of things and not really forcing the action.
