Hello, I'm Bex and welcome to The Week Junior show. Today I'm joined by two of the team from the week junior, the magazine Making Sense of the World for 8 to 14 year olds.

We've got writer Eve and editorial assistant Elena. So lots to cover in today's episode. We're going to be talking about the firefighters tackling wildfires in Los Angeles in the US, how technology is helping Emperor Penguins and a new theatre company in Wales. We're also going to be having a big debate about whether schools should have a four-day week. Now, on this week's well-being mage, the magazine has a feature all about how learning new skills

can be good for you. So it got me wondering, of course, what is a new skill that you'd like to learn?

I'd quite like to learn how to dance properly, not like in a strictly level, but maybe like

learning how to salsa or tango or even do the Charleston would be nice. A more realistic one,

let's face it, I'd still, I'm trying to learn sign language. I started using it and

learning it a little bit, but I want to get better at it. So I think I'd like to be fluent in sign

language by the end of this year. That might be my thing. Eve, how about you? So last year I learned

how to crochet and I've crocheted quite a few things like coasters or covers for books and things

like that but I think maybe next I'd quite like to learn how to knit just so I can kind of

collect the crafty activities and also because I strive to be like Gromit from Wallace and Gromit

and he loves to knit so I was thinking you, maybe I could just be more like Gromit

and learn how to knit. Okay, be more Gromit. We love to hear it. What about you, Elena?

Well, actually, Eve, I know how to knit. So maybe I could teach you and you could teach me

how to crochet instead. That would be perfect. Well, maybe crochet could be one for me. But I I tried to learn last year but I just didn't

have enough time for it I'd love to learn how to code because it's my dream that one day I'll be
