This is StoryQuest. Today's story is Finn the Rugby Hero.

0:11.1

In the town of Sandback, where the grass was always just a little bit muddy and everyone's

0:17.2

socks smelled faintly of effort, there lived a boy called Finn. Finn wasn't just any boy.

0:24.6

He was a rugby boy. He ate rugby, he dreamed rugby, he once tackled a snowman by accident because

0:30.8

it looked like a prop forward. Every day rain or shine or surprise hailstorm, Finn trained with his team at Sandback, RUFC. His boots were

0:42.1

caked in glory and also mud, and his kit bag contained nothing but snacks, socks, socks, and also

1:34.8

The Cruncher. They had a mascot that was just a painted boulder named Doom. One of their players

1:42.2

was rumoured to be part moose. They chanted in unison and drank beetroot

1:47.8

juice straight from the bottle. The sandback team looked nervous. One of them quietly googled

1:55.0

escape routes under rugby fields. Finn stood in the middle of all of it, trying not to show how scared he was.

2:03.3

He could hear the voice of his coach, Old Mick, echoing in his ears,

2:06.6

Rugby's not about being fearless, man. It's about doing brave things, even though you're scared,

2:13.3

and never, ever, passing backwards to a seagull. The whistle blew.
