As we read the gospel records, we read eyewitness accounts of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus.

In a sense, the gospels are just the beginning of Christ's work. The adventure continues in the

Book of Acts. In this study with

Scott Pauli, we consider the continuing work of Christ through the Holy Spirit, who works through

the apostles in the New Testament Church. Now, let's get in on the adventure. I don't know when or where or how my life will come to an end, but I know this.

I want to finish well. In fact, I'm at a point in life now where I'm thinking more about the

finish line than I am the starting blocks. And as grateful as I am for

what God has done in my life to this point, I want to finish well. I want to finish my course with

joy. I really do want to hear the Lord say, well done, good and faithful servant. And Acts chapter 7 at the

end of this chapter and the end of the first section

of the book of Acts, we find a beautiful picture of a man finishing well. We've talked a great

deal about him in recent studies because he was one of the first deacons introduced to us in the

book of Acts and he was the preacher of this tremendous Bible message recorded for us in Acts

chapter number seven.

In our last study, we saw that the people basically rejected him and rejected his message

and rejected his Christ.

When you come to verse number 55 of Acts 7 such a contrast i mean you remember the last verse right

the last verse when they heard these things they were cut to the heart and they gnashed on him

with their teeth well that sounds positive doesn't it but when you come to verse 55 it says but he

being full of the holy ghost looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God

and Jesus standing on the right hand of God and said, behold, I see the heavens opened,

and the son of man standing on the right hand of God.
