Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep your fitness promise,

which will add another link to your growing fitness chain.

There's a threat of rain, or at least there was before I left the house.

I checked the weather app on my phone, and it indicated that rain was a possibility

in about an hour or so. And my initial thought was, no worries, I'll be back before then.

Followed up by, you know, it's probably not a bad idea, just grab the umbrella, tuck it in my back pocket, just in case, because I've been surprised before, the weather app has been wrong.

And I've looked at it and it has said, no rain. And 20 minutes later, okay, so this is what no rain feels like.

And as I look at the sky condition,

yeah, it's pretty cloudy.

But those don't look like threatening clouds,

so I think this is one of those times

where my weather app is going to be right

and that I did not grab the umbrella

is not going to be an issue.

So if you've been walking for a while, my guess is that there are people that you see

who are also walking for fitness and walking consistently, maybe even walking the same route

at the same time every day,

and you see them on quite a few days, if not every day.

You wave, you say hi.

In the mornings on my walk, there have been a couple of people that I've seen pretty consistently.

There's Dave and there's Ellen. Dave is probably a little bit

five years older than me, and he wears when the weather is cool what I call a Charlie Brown jacket.
