Margie hey Margie and we are so excited today to interview someone. I've wanted to interview for at least a couple years, if not more.

Allison Shifler, hey Allison. Hi. Allison is an amazing human with an amazing Mormon story and that's why we're interviewing her.

She is also one of the my go-to therapists that I refer people to.

She does all sorts of different types of therapy,

including couples therapy, individual therapy, etc.

She practices here in Salt Lake and in Utah.

But that's not why we're doing the interview.

We're doing the interview because Allison's story,

I think is going to be helpful for a lot of people.

And just to give you like a quick preview of some of the

themes you know raised Mormon mixed faith parents and and how that played into her

relationship with their parents,

the passing away of apparent grief,

mission in Russia, these aren't necessarily in order, and also just normal Mormon journey stuff, but

it definitely the main theme today is what happens when the Mormon dream kind of goes off the rails and all the things

that you feared could happen might happen or many of the things. But then, like let's just say divorce or single

parenthood or you know trying to build a career that you maybe you weren't prepared to build whatever those things might be but then what happens when you build a life

where you're so grateful that you've been through all that because it's made you stronger and happier and healthier
