Amen.

Genesis chapter 1, verse 26, then God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness.

We talk about identity a lot in the church and I was just reading a book to my kids and it was

about how humans are made in the image of God and what that really means.

And it was such a simple answer and such a that I was like, okay, I need to make video about this

because I feel like it can give a lot of us hope in a world right now where it's hard to know what it means to have your identity in Christ.

And when everyone in the world is telling you, you need to find your identity here, I broke it down into three categories.

And these three categories are what it looks like when you find your identity in the world, what it looks like when you find your identity in religion, and what it looks like to find your identity in Christ?

When you find your identity in the world, you look crazy.

Think about it.

When somebody is chasing after fame, success, money,

they are not the same person in different circles.

When they're chasing after this one particular thing, they may say this, they may do this,

but when they're in another complete situation, they do this, they say that.

A perfect example that is Eve. Eve, in retrospect, looks crazy. She was in a perfect

environment. Her and her husband, they're naked, they have all the food, all the purpose, all the

joy in the world, and yet she gets tempted to chase after knowledge, to chase after her flesh.

She gets tempted, even though there's no other humans in the world, the idea of being like God and powerful, she chased after that.

And that is crazy.

Now, if we were in her shoes, we would do the same thing because we're crazy too. When you find your identity and religion, you become a caricature of yourself.
