And I'm very, very excited about this next interview with Catherine Spalino, who is the author

of a memoir called The Bad Cadet growing up in the Church of Scientology

Sea Organization.

Catherine grew up on a secluded ranch within the cadet org, a Church of Scientology

Seaorg school for children.

I choke when I say church of Scientology. Sorry. I'm not going to call it a church

too much more. I actually interviewed Catherine Larry Brennan, who was tasked by Hubbard to make it into a

religion. He outed the entire fraud of it all and have interviews with him

and he later came out as Denise Brennan. So I have an interview with Denise before. Unfortunately,

she had a heart attack and passed away. But incredible interview. In any case, back to you. You were born in this cult,

this horrendous cult that I learned about in 1976 from my friend Paulette Cooper, who wrote

the scandal of Scientology. I was outing the Mooney. She was outing Scientology. They harassed

her unmercifully. I was an SP, even though I was

like, what does that mean? Anyway, back to you, because this is your book. So at a young age,

Catherine began a journal to journal about your day-to-day life, capturing the thoughts and experiences

of a child coming of age and a cult.

Your background offers a rare opportunity to tell the story of hundreds of children who rarely

saw their parents and were indoctrinated to become future C.org members with a billion-year contract

for those who aren't that familiar with the C.org and Scientology

cult. And you have left the cult. You live in Minneapolis with your husband, happily raising

three rambunctious boys. And so really, I want to just, I don't know if you designed the cover.
