Hi, my name is Pete Scazzaro, and I want to welcome you to the Emotionally Healthy Leader

Podcast. Our key word today is rhythms. This is part two of finding God's rhythms for your life.

0:14.4

Finding God's rhythm for your life, part two. And this word rhythm is such a core word for every

0:20.1

leader. It's actually a core word for every

0:21.8

disciple of Jesus, because without rhythm, we missed the whole purpose of our lives. Now,

0:29.0

articles have been written about the interruption epidemic and how interruptions impact our

0:33.9

brain and our ability to regulate our attention and focus. The more we check our

0:38.5

messages, email or Instagram or Facebook or Twitter, the more we feel the need to check them.

1:25.9

So I want to break it down into four areas. Daily, which I spoke

1:29.8

about in last week's podcast, in a daily office, weekly, in Sabbath, annually, and then on sabbatical

1:39.9

years, or every seven to ten years, having another idea of sabbatical. So it's really in four

1:44.5

areas. And let me just say as I begin this, that as I think about rhythms in my own life,

1:50.1

I recognize that I am fragile. Without rhythms, for me, and when I get off of my rhythms,

1:59.0

I get into a very bad place. I can't mess around with my rhythms,

2:03.1

actually, as a leader, because I've got some serious brokenness in me. I get very dangerous.
