Here on Searchlight, we are looking at the story of Mary Magdalene when she came to the tomb of Jesus.

This story is from John chapter 20.

We learned on our last program that Mary was a woman who loved Jesus very much.

Jesus explained that this was because Mary understood that she was forgiven much.

And this great love caused her to be the last one at the cross and the first one at the tomb.

But when she sees the resurrected Jesus, he makes a surprising and perhaps confusing statement to Mary.

Let's now join Pastor John for our teaching and see the meaning of this intriguing

statement. Can you imagine the explosion of emotions when she thought that the one who meant the most to her was dead and now here he is in the flesh?

And she grabs him and she, as the Greek really says literally he

she clings to him and watch what Jesus says to that it blows my mind he says

touch me not or literally don't cling to me for I am not yet ascended to my father but rather go to

my brethren and say unto them I ascend unto my father and your father and to my God
