We all would like to think that we know where we are going and how to get there.

But at every stage in life, we need divine direction. God has promised to guide us if we simply follow.

Now it's 12 verses long. It breaks down into three parts and all of it is a prayer. It is David

communing with the Lord. He begins this way in verse 1. Hear my prayer, O Lord. Give ear to my supplications in thy faithfulness answer me

and in thy righteousness so he begins by talking to god about his present need right where he is he said

lord i need you right where i am that's where you have to start with god just start where you are

not where you used to be not where you want to be not where you have to start with God. Just start where you are. Not where you used to be,

not where you want to be, not where you hope to be. But Lord, I'm just going to, I'm going to talk to you

about where I'm at right at this moment. David said, I need you, Lord. I've marked in my Bible in

verse one, my prayer, my supplication, but then thy faithfulness, thy righteousness.

So the prayer is mine, the supplication is mine, but the basis for it being answered, that's all

on him. It is thy faithfulness, Lord, not mine. Thy righteousness, not mine. In fact, in verse two,
