Do you have friends you can talk to about your sex life?

It can be difficult to find trustworthy allies and get that conversation started.

Yet, we believe it's important to have support and wisdom from fellow believers.

Indeed, one goal of our podcast is to model honest, biblically grounded

conversations with other women. So here are a few tips for finding your peeps. First, consider

your current friendships. Who in your circles shares your biblical worldview, treats others well,

and seems to understand marriage, both its perks and its challenges.

When you take a step back and think it through, you may identify someone you already know

who'd be willing to chat about sexual intimacy in a positive and practical way.

Second, look for authenticity. We've all known those women who convey that everything's going

great and seem to have this whole Christian walk down pat.

Sometimes that's true, but more often it's not.

Truth is, life is messy, and we suggest looking for women who admit that.

You know who we're talking about.

The mom who confesses she lost it with her children that morning.

The Bible class teacher who admits

she struggles with a particular passage, the coworker who talks about how much she loves her husband,

but why can't he find anything in his own house without her help? If someone is authentic in other

areas of life, they're likely more willing to listen to what's happening in your sex life

and share candidly about their own. Third, join a community.
