what I've done over the last 18 plus years and the new title of this podcast is going to reflect one of the biggest things that I learned

over those 18 years.

And that basically is finding your 1000.

What I mean by that is the popular article that Kevin Kelly wrote back in 2008 called True 1000 fans.

And his whole article was about finding your true 1,000 fans, like people that are going to follow you but are going to listen to you. And this is before like influencers

was like a big deal and like everyone was doing it because it was before like social media was

like blowing up. But I've been able to do this by following that, you know, that concept, which by the

way, I didn't even read the article when it first came out I heard of it

years later but basically I've been able to do that I've been able to build multiple

successful businesses on the back of small audiences I'm talking really small like my

first brand was new portrait biz years ago and that only had 16,000 YouTube subscribers.

And that was doing over six figures for multiple years in a row. That's actually the first
