Hey everyone, welcome back to Money Girl. I'm Laura Adams, a personal finance expert,

spokesperson and speaker who's been hosting the Money Girl podcast since 2008. And this

week is the official 15 year anniversary of the show. So I'm super excited to bring you

this special edition. I frequently get asked about being the long time host of the Money

Girl podcast. People are really curious about where so many show topics come from and when

I started and how I started and when I tell people that I've created over 700 shows

and really we're getting closer to 800 shows now. And that I recorded my first episode

over 15 years ago. People often look stunned and tell me they can't believe it. Well, neither

can I. I had no idea the show would still be running 15 years later. And I so enjoy

everything that I do and interacting with you here in this community. And another quick

and dirty tips podcast called Nutrition Deva, which is hosted by Monica Reinegel, is also

celebrating 15 years this summer. So we decided to create a show together. We recorded

an interview with our friend, Mignon Fogardy, who hosts Grammar Girl. She also founded

the QDT network and she's been podcasting even longer than the two of us. So in today's

special show, you'll hear how we got started podcasting. Some ways the show has changed

over the years. What keeps us motivated? We tell a few funny stories and a few lessons

we've learned along the way. Many congratulations to Monica on her 15 years. And a big thanks

to Mignon for bringing me into the network 15 years ago and for hosting our interview
