What's up, everybody? I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. I spent

0:26.0

mind in COVID testing transit hell. But we finally made it to our destination, which is the island

0:33.9

of Kauai in Hawaii. And it is amazing. I got to say, it's my first time in Hawaii. And it is

0:42.2

everything I could have possibly hoped it would be. So I am recording this intro from my residence

0:49.2

on the island, which is why it's going to sound a bit different than what you're used to.

0:53.5

In place of a normal episode, I'm releasing a recent appearance I made on the Grant Williams

0:58.3

podcast. Grant has been on the show before twice on his own and twice as a guest along with Ben Hunt.

1:04.8

So I cannot express to you guys what an honor it was for me to be invited out to his podcast.

1:11.0

Not only because he's such a great interviewer, and because he has such a large and engaged

1:15.3

audience, but also because he's someone I've always looked towards for guidance. And as a role model

1:21.3

for how to navigate what is a very cutthroat business with integrity, sincerity, and a lot of

1:27.6

class, we spent the first 20 minutes or so on my bio and how I got started media and the origins

1:33.6

of hidden forces. And then everything after that is an exploration of many of the various forces

1:39.2

that I've talked about on this podcast, things like the phenomenon of financial nihilism,

1:44.3

the hyper reality of markets and society, China, and the changing geopolitical order, and much more.

1:51.3

Grant's podcast is for subscribers only. So I'm very grateful to him for letting me share it with

1:56.3

all of you on my own feed. This is not a normal occurrence. And he also publishes a newsletter,

2:01.6

which is one of my favorite newsletters and the only one I regularly read. And that's because I love

2:07.1

his perspective and how he incorporates metaphor with charts and data to tell a story so that what

2:13.1

you're reading isn't only educational, but it's also entertaining. So I cannot recommend his stuff

2:19.1

enough. If you're interested in learning more about Grant and how to become a subscriber to

2:22.5

both his podcast and his monthly newsletter, you can do that at grant dash Williams dot com.
