In our last episode, we read the final pages of My Man Jeeves.

It's been so fun reading these light-hearted, comical stories

about the first world problems of the 1920s upper crust.

stop this episode now. For the rest of you, I will continue. As Bertie was mourning his new life having to take care of himself at his hotel without

Jeeves, Rocky was equally miserable having to wear Bertie's evening suits and take his aunt out to cabarets.

Their paths crossed a few times and Bertie began to notice the older woman had lost some of her shine.

One evening, while he was having dinner at a restaurant, he was approached by Rocky, imploring

him to come and eat at their table to give his aunt some semblance of his having friends.

Shortly after their meal, his aunt requested to go home, and Rocky invited Bertie to come with them.

A dread set in during the cabride, and as Rocky poured Bertie a brandy, Aunt Rockmottella

stopped him. She explained that one evening, as Rocky was predisposed with a phone call, she had asked Jeeves to take her to the hippodrome.

He had mistakenly took her to what she later found out was Madison Square Gardens and seated her in a crowd.

A man named Jimmy Mundy took to the stage, exclaiming the sins of the city, and it opened

her eyes to the God-forsaken lifestyle she had been encouraging her nephew to partake in. She earnestly begged him to return to the country, no matter how difficult it might be for him,

and to put the excitement of New York behind him, and she would do the same.

Rocky was silently delighted, and the next day Bertie applauded Jeeves for his quick thinking once again.
