In our last episode, we read the final pages of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

After a tournament, where Sir Lancelot defeated and humiliated Sir Agravain and Sir Modrid,

the two knights sought revenge. They gathered others and

caught Lancelot visiting Queen Guinevere's chamber, while King Arthur was away, accusing him of treason.

Lancelot, though unarmoured, fought his way out, killing Agravain and many others.

Modrid escaped and informed King Arthur, who was devastated, but was bound by honour to act.

So Guinevere was condemned to be burned.

As she was brought to execution, Lancelot and his allies attacked,

Lancelot and his allies attacked, rescued her,

and took her to safety at his castle La Joyous Guard.

However, in the chaos, he accidentally killed Sir Gareth and Sir Gareth, Sir Gawain's brothers, unaware that they were unarmed.

This tragedy turned Garwain into Lancelot's sworn enemy, and he convinced Arthur to besiege Lancelot's

castle.

Lancelot refused to fight the king directly, but eventually battle broke out.

Then the Pope intervened, urging peace, and Lancelot returned Guinevere to her king.
