What's up everybody? Welcome into the next Pat's podcast. I'm Phil Perry. It is draft week. We are finally here, and we're so happy that you're here with us. Because today we're talking to the great Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

We do this every single year, the week of the draft.

We hash things out.

We talk about what we've been hearing, players we've been hearing about, maybe a little bit

more as the process gets a little later and closer to the actual event.

And we're trying to get a gauge for how teams are feeling. It's great to have Byrdon because he is so connected league-wide, but we're talking specifically about the Patriots. Options for them, options for them at tackle, options for them on the edge. Are they even going to make a pick? Oh, don't say it. Don't say, they're not going to trade out, are they? Ah, we're going to keep

that option on the table for now as well. So it's a great conversation with Albert Breer. Before we get

to that conversation, though, with Albert. Let's first address the address that we heard from

Mike Vrable at the New Balance Athletics Center. It's a new Patriots facility at one Patriot Place.

By now, you've probably heard it, but let's play it for those of you who have not,

and we'll come back.

And I'll tell you why I think it was important for him to do what he did on Tuesday afternoon.

I understand I could have addressed you guys sooner,

but it was important to me to have a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday,

very candidly as we began our off-season program, which everyone is excited to be a part of.

Stacey had mentioned the players' availability, and I was never my intention to have them speak to you or address you before I did.

And so I asked him to come today and to talk with you.

You know, I also don't want to take away from our, you know, the draft, the weekend of the draft.

You know, this is an important time for us and our organization and the excitement and the joy that those players are going to have that we bring onto our football team.

They're starting an amazing journey, one that should be celebrated as we welcome them onto our team.
