kind of take a couple different angles here, talk about what some teams do well in terms of

development and some interesting picks and trends in the draft that we've noticed. And then we'll

get to some of Alex's favorite players from the draft.

The reason I wanted to have Alex on, actually, I mean, I saw just a really interesting

tweet that he sent out after the draft or after at least the first day of the draft.

And it's something that I'd noticed as well.

And it was kind of a trend of three of the smartest

teams in baseball, I think, you know, undeniably the Orioles, the Dodgers, and the Brewers

have kind of targeted or at least gone after a type of position player that, you know, maybe there's a case for going after these guys,

but it's interesting that all three of these teams have done the same kind of thing here.

And in the past two drafts, they've taken some kind of slap hitting center fielders,

some guys from this most recent draft who

might not necessarily be slap hitters, but are definitely up the middle, athletic, you know,

plus plus runners, potentially plus defender types.

And then there was the interesting Vance Honeycutt pick by the Orioles as well this year that

doesn't quite fit into that bin, but it's an interesting pick nonetheless.

So, you know, we can talk about these specific players in general.

The true slap hitters, I would say, were from the 2023 draft with the Orioles taking

Enrique Bradfield.

And then the Dodgers taking Kendall George, a couple center fielders with just big time speed.

And in theory with George, big time defense, obviously Bradfield, the defense is unquestioned.
