I'm Lauren D.R. Shalman. And I'm Radda Ayengar.

And we are back with, again, just the three of us to have a more normal episode. We have some foreign relations

to keep up. We have some White House mayhem to discuss. Shall we start with what we are drinking?

I'm drinking nothing. I'm drinking like flat, fizzy water, which is maybe a metaphor. I don't know.

It's not very exciting. It's very 2020 for sure. It's my favorite adventure during the middle

of the workday is like when I look at the various cans of fizzy water in front of me and try to

remember which one's from today and do I want to guess? Do I want to test it? Then see which one's

flat? It ends up not really mattering. This is me with, but like varying degrees

of consumed Coke zero bottles. But see, you like the flat Coke because you're a weirdo.

I don't like it to be flat. I just want it to be room temperature. You lived in the UK too long.

I'm just saying that's an unacceptable. I mean, that's, that might be worse than Lauren's

microwaved coffee. I'm just going to put that. Well, I could in fact, drinking microwave

coffee this morning. I believe that I've already microwaved this cup of coffee twice.

So. Yep. I am drinking. It's microwave coffee, but it is from today that I got from

Qualia, my neighborhood, um, coffee shop. And shop. And then I added, because my husband and my

son told me it was cranky this morning, I added some of my mom's homemade vanilla bourbon.

So, oh, bourbon is not homemade. The fact that she added vanilla to it, that's homemade.

That's fantastic. And I think that we should get that recipe. I'm just putting that

out there. Okay. Well, shall we keep up foreign relations? There's actually kind of a lot going on

in the world. And we alluded to that last week a bit. We'll get to that here in a second. But
