Hello, hello, and welcome back to the show. I'm so, so glad you're here. And I wanted to begin by sharing that if you hear some noises in the background,

if you hear some very heavy breathing or some like wrestling, you're hearing my pug, Sasha.

You know, something in me has switched. I used to want absolutely no noise at all,

like would make everyone turn everything off before recording.

And something has switched in that if there is life that wants to be around me, if there is a creature

that wants to be next to me because they love me and they feel safe, I'm going to let them.

Like, I think it's probably eclipse season. He just made a big,

like, growl. He's the little dragon, like the little dragon, like, you know how there's the

nodes of the dragon when the eclipses. I just want to be close to the creatures and people that I love and that love me.

And if that means there's like a little bit of wrestling, if it's like once in a while,

a podcast episode isn't as totally polished within an inch of its life, it's going to be okay. I'm a human being. We're all human beings and we have babies and dogs and trees move. And sometimes there's crickets where we live live and, you know, the world is alive.

So if you hear anything, that's what you're hearing.

And it's not our incredible editor, Amelia's fault at all.

It's a choice I made.
