Welcome to Country Squire Radio. I'm Bo. And I'm John David.

0:33.5

J.D. Hey, Bo. Good evening, man. Man, good evening to you, sir. How are you doing? I'm doing well. Did you like my jazz hands? I was wondering what was going on. I just got really excited. Yeah. I was fired up. It's good to be back in the saddle, man. Yeah.

0:34.4

Yeah.

0:36.5

You're all recovered from Thanksgiving?

0:39.0

Recovered from Thanksgiving, you know, it was good.

0:40.4

We got through.

0:42.5

I didn't require as much harsh tobacco as I thought I did. Man, you were really going in on the kids then,

0:46.7

right? In recovery, you know, I even had these listeners and friends that, you know, had messaged

0:50.8

me on Facebook and whatnot, and they were like, man, I, you know, does, does, does, does, does your girlfriend know how much you hate kids and all this kind of stuff? It was, it was pretty great. But, man, no, we had a great Thanksgiving. It was, uh, it was drama free, man, which, uh, for, for the American Thanksgiving tradition is, uh, is, is really coveted. I got to tell you,

1:11.5

man, for me, also drama free. And I got to say, well, well, well, well, hey, look, it wasn't me. It was, uh, it was, uh, it was God's sovereignty is what it was. Because let me tell you, I was like the day before Thanksgiving, looking on Facebook, looking at certain posts from certain family members thinking, oh my gosh, how am I going to sit across the table from these people?

1:28.8

And then most, well, all of those people making that. certain posts from certain family members thinking, oh my gosh, how am I going to sit across the table

1:27.6

from these people? And then all of those people making those posts didn't show up. So there you go. Oh, it worked out good. It was all good. It was all good. Did you send them like a virus or something? No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. No, you got to love your family. You don't have to love their views, but you got to love your family.

1:43.2

You know, we're not, as good Bible-believing Christians, you know, we're not called to, we're called to love them, not to like them. Exactly. What was that? There's so many people that are like, yeah, y'all are a bunch of smug. You had, back when we did the Long Smoke or you did the Long Smoke competition here, this last past one, you had a band who played a song called I don't like half the people I love. Yeah. That was the most brilliant song. And that's fair, don't you think? I saw that look on your face, too. You were like, this is my song. They just, they just, this is out of the hymnal I wrote. Yeah. Well, good, man. Yeah, I'm fully recovered, I think, from Thanksgiving as well. Of course, I've mentioned it several years here now on the show, but I always make the cornbread, oyster dressing for our family. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. This year, it turned out good. Dude, this was like the best cornbread oyster dressing I ever made. And I think part of it, you know, typically in the past, I've kind of cranked up the oysterness, I guess, I don't know exactly how you'd describe it, but use some of the extra juice. Yeah, the oistroosity. Yeah, this time, the, uh, the oistrosity. I like that. Uh, the oyster nene. Yeah. Yeah. No, that. That's, but, but the, the oysters that we got were

2:54.6

actually so perfect, so rich, so sweet, so wonderful. They didn't need any additional juice and it made

3:00.1

everything so perfect. Oh, that's great. Oh my goodness. It was like, it was oyster cornbread

3:04.7

Nirvana. I didn't know that was a thing until I got there.

3:09.6

So many people out there are like none of these things go together.

3:12.7

Nirvana, cornbread, and oysters.

3:14.2

They just don't make sense.
