All I knew was God was stirring me to pray for revival.

And I wanted to give more time to God and I couldn't, I couldn't, I hadn't got time.

And I felt God called me and I wasn't called to be a leader.

I wasn't called to plant churches.

I felt the time that what he was mostly calling me was to pray for revival.

Welcome, everybody. This is Simon Gilbo with Inspired. I hope you're on good form. And this week,

I'm very excited to have with us, Terry Virgo. Hi, Terry. Hello, Simon. Thanks for the invitation.

That's great to have you. So, Inspired, the idea is just to tell lots of beautiful stories to encourage and stir faith. There's so much bad news out there, and I have no doubt that you'll

bless us in that regard. Now, by means of introduction, Terry is the founder of New Frontiers,

which is a worldwide family of churches, to get on a mission to establish the kingdom of God

by restoring the church, making disciples, training leaders,

and planting churches. And I think New Frontiers serves 1,500 plus churches across 17 nations now.

I've never met you, Terry, but I've come across four of your five children, be it in Brighton,

in the East End, in South Africa, and Burundi. I don't know if Simon is your youngest, but I spoke to

Simon last week. And when he was out in Burundi. I don't know if Simon is your youngest, but I spoke to Simon last week.

And when he was out in Burundi, we watched the 1999 Manu, Bayern Munich, European Championship

final, and that was a great shared experience. But I remember being so struck by his story,

because he had recently come back to Faith, and he spoke of his mum, your wife,

Wendy, who had fasted, he said, I think, for five days. And he was very far from God. He was

on drugs. He was partying a lot. And yet suddenly, during her fast, he sent something going on.

And he said to mum, what's going on? I'm trying something going on and he said to mum, he said,

mum, what's going on? I'm trying to remember exactly what he said. Mom, what's going on? And she came out and said, I'm fighting for you, son. And, and he said, well, I think you might be winning. And he, he, he was drawn. I mean, it's a long story, but it was very impacted me at the time. That's
