And I'm joined by my friend Patty Vasquez,

the hosts of the Patty Vasquez show who joins us regularly on this podcast.

Wow Patty today I have to say our topic is pretty weighty.

It is it's startling how we've kind of gotten used to it though and and even more I heard a mom talking about this at the park the other day and she said you know I just never thought there'd be a day where I just am not even

bothered by this as much as I was I think that Sandy Hook broke a lot of people

You know you thought that that was when things were really going to change.

And by broke, I mean our spirits.

I think a lot of people just think, well, nothing's going to change.

If that didn't make people change, if that didn't make legislators go,

oh, we absolutely must do something to end this

kind of senseless violence what hope is there yeah I I have to say we have reached a point as a country where we've had so many massacres,

so many mass shootings.

I don't, you know, I don't know what it will take to produce real change.
