Hello, friends. Welcome back. It's time for the morning mindset.

Kerry Green here. I'm so thankful that you are with me to get your mind and your heart

aligned with the truth of God today. We are looking at Luke 12, just being students

of Jesus' teaching about anxiety. It's a very relevant topic for the day in which we live

with all the craziness going on in the world. Anxiety can easily crop up. And for believers

of Jesus Christ, that is one of our worst enemies. We want to make sure we're being people

of faith, people of confidence in our God and his sovereign power over all of history,

and resting in that as we proceed day to day to live as kingdom citizens. We are going

to look today at Luke 12 verses 35 through 40. As Jesus tells us a little bit of a story,

a word picture, to help us get our minds oriented correctly. When it comes to this issue

of anxiety, he says, stay, dress, reaction, and keep your lamps burning. And be like men

who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast so that they may open

the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master

finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service, and

have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.

And this is an amazing story, even though it's just kind of a made up story on the spot

Jesus is telling them the kind of mindset there to have. The things he's teaching about

this are incredible. Clearly, he is the master. He's the one represented by the master in

the story. And we are these men, these servants who are there to be waiting and dressed for

action ready to serve the master when he comes home. And what he's saying is, we will

receive blessing and benefit from Jesus when he returns. If he finds us active, ready,

alert, persevering for the sake of his kingdom and his righteousness, and spreading that
