My name is Jake Wilson and my dilemma is I've

battled about a couple of weeks in North Carolina and have yet to really enjoy a southern

thunderstorm. So I need to have at least that satisfaction. I'm going to put up with the rest of the

heat. All right, Jake. This is as dilemmas go not too bad of one, but I understand if it's a 100

plus degrees every day, sometimes you want a little bit of a break. And if you've been promised

thunderstorms, you want thunderstorms. Now I can't make the thunder come. Unfortunately,

I am not in charge of the weather. If I was, I wouldn't have sat through 105 heat index

cubs game on Saturday. I might have dialed it down a couple degrees, but I can tell you this.

If you look on the positive side, if you have any animals, thunderstorms are really stressful.

They bark at the booms of the thunder. They hide under things. Sometimes they don't want to go outside

to use the bathroom because they don't want to get rained on. So you find random piles of poop in

the hallway of your house. So on the positive side, if you have any animals, you've really avoided all

that. Also flooding, flooding is terrible. And I don't know where you're staying, but if there's

a basement, you might be in charge of helping bail out all the buckets full of water and, you know,

lug furniture that's been ruined out to the street. So you saved yourself the manual labor of that.

You know, another than that, I would say some people don't like thunderstorms. They're dangerous.

You get hit by lightning, could cause damage to your car and your house and everything else. So

maybe your dilemma is not in fact that you've missed out on a thunderstorm. It's that you're

looking at things the wrong way. There, I fixed it. The commission has spoken.
