Versa Strait cannot be here with us today. But I'm Sarah Sanchez coming at you with a great

guest to talk through some of the coolest new tools in the industry and some of the greatest

debates from the trade deadline. I'm super excited about it. Welcome to the show, Kyle Bland.

You know him as the director of data and

analytics at picture list. He has been rolling out all of the coolest new tricks recently,

and he is going to talk through all of the debates on trade deadline day tonight. How's it going,

Kyle? It's going great. What a, what a hectic day, a lot of new trades coming all throughout. It's even been like a couple days coming. I put out kind of a new stat over the weekend. So it's been pretty busy for me like person and professionally too. So man, what a time to be a baseball fan. It is. And we miss Shelley today. Shelly, we wish we were here for these debates. But we totally understand. We're going to do things a tiny bit differently today because we're going to roll out a little bit of what Kyle's been working on with some new stats.

We're going to talk through some of the debates that we agree on.

Because like some of these trades don't have debates with them.

They're just things we should talk about from a fantasy baseball perspective, but we do have some great debates for you coming at you in the second half of the show. And so maybe we can just roll right into this.

And I did not mean to make a pun there, but I did. These rolling process plus charts, Kyle,

if you don't follow Kyle on Twitter, I'm going to have him tell you where to follow him right now

because you need to look at these. They are the coolest thing I've seen in a hot minute.

And they are going to inform so much of my fantasy baseball management. Kyle, what is going on with these charts? Yeah, so these are kind of the end result of the hitter metrics I've made using

our pitch level model, our PLB model. And I always joke that I made a pitch model so that I could better analyze

hitters because I wanted to see like, well, how hard was that pitch to hit or how good of a

decision was it not to swing at that, like that kind of thing. And so now this is kind of like

the culmination of all of that. So what what these charts do is we're taking their decision value for the hitter,

the value of the contact when they make contact, and then the value of the power they add

two batted balls, and we put them all on a run scale, and then we match them all together
