give me a fascinating week for the Patriots. To me, the most fascinating thing tonight is how Tuka Rask responds and Bruce Cassidy's approach with Tuka Rass. Not only was Tukorass bad on Saturday, we all know he was bad, he knows he was bad, but the coach hasn't done him any favors or hasn't done anything to protect him.

He's done nothing to protect him. He yanked him in the middle of the game on a goal that he had nothing to do. I mean, that Van Riems-Dike goal, that fourth goal, please. Who's stopping that? I mean, okay, so he pulls him in the middle of the game in front of the world to see. and then after the game pretty much

But when it comes to Rass, Cassidy has not been afraid. He's gone right at him. Even when he doesn't have to. The third Toronto goal the other night, Tyler Bozac, in alone. Marshan loses him all the way down the ice and Bozac's in alone.

And Cassidy could have easily said, we lost him on this, our defense let us down, we got

to get back, we just go up here and this is on the team.

Instead, he goes right at the goalie.

The Bozac goal, we got beat up the ice after long ozone shift, which is dangerous. And, you know, that's the one you really need to save right there. You've got yourself back in the game that the first period's almost forgotten about. It's now two to one. So that's one we needed. We were a little late trying to kill that rush, you know, in three different spots, and they capitalized. Okay, but again, he makes sure to point out we could have used to save there.

And look, you know, I'm just, I'm trying to accentuate the fact that what Cassidy has done. I mean, ultimately, I think I like that he's just telling it like it is, and he's being hard on Rask, and he's getting his attention, and he's sending him messages, and so good. Good. I think Rask could use that. Good. I'm in favor of it. I mean, I guess it sounds like I was criticizing it before. I'm a little nervous about it because I do not think Rask mentally is the toughest guy there is. And how's he going to respond? And I think Cassie was really hard on him the other night. And you risk sending him deeper into the abyss by being hard on him, don't you? But then again... No, I think this year is proven.

Claude Julian went easy on him, and that never worked either, so get his attention. I think this year is proven. Cassidy's been proven right, and when he's gone hard at him. He benched his ass back in November. Then you got the best play out of him, pretty much going forward. So this is why I think Rask and the team's going to bounce back tonight.

They're going to win because Cassidy has pushed the right buttons all season long with this team.
