Good morning everyone and happy Monday. Just gonna try to give you a little burst of energy today that make sure that we're not just lagging around.

Just a quick little reminder, Tor and I posted our actually Tori Chelsea and I posted our long form episode on Saturday about personal responsibility and what that looks like.

As a Christian and setting appropriate boundaries because it can be easy to fall into a cycle of wanting to

people please others because we want to serve others but we do need to set appropriate boundaries so check that out from Saturday. It was also our first time with a guest.

It was so fun. It was a lot of fun. We're definitely going to do more of that. That was awesome.

And other than that, let's jump into baby.

Yeah, let's do it. You guys today we are in Genesis 12 verse 18 and it's titled Avoid Deception. It says,

So Pharaoh summoned Abram and accused him sharply. What have you done to me? He demanded. Why didn't you tell me she was your wife?

You'll love letter from God says, beloved child. I am all the strength you need. As you deal with people who intimidate you, you may be tempted to compromise your convictions.

When you feel uncomfortable or controlled by anything other than my Holy Spirit, I want you to say a silent prayer to me for courage.

You're my child and you don't have to compromise anything. Remember deception never comes from me but only from the enemy of your soul.

It may seem easier in the moment to do what will please others or protect yourself. But if you call to me, I will create a way for you to remain faithful to me.

Don't back down my beloved. I am the king of kings and you are my royal child. Love your Heavenly Father.

The reflection says, even actions taken with the best of intentions will fail and lead to suffering if they are not taken with integrity and truth.

Better that you would quietly allow God to get you through an uncomfortable situation than to say something you will later regret and pay the price.

God is the master of navigating our lives if we trust him to lead. The treasure of truth says, God gives discernment to those who seek it.

I love that because I was just kind of reflecting as you were sharing about all the times that I have made rash decisions.

I regret so many of them. I was forced into a spot right. I had to make a decision under pressure and I ended up making the wrong decision.

I didn't check them with God about it. I think that is something that the enemy does with me specifically. If I have time to think about something and think it through and inquire to God and pray and get my head on straight, then I feel like I operate so much better.

But when it's boom, boom, boom, boom, so many things going on. I just make a quick rash decision based off of like, you know, fight or flight mechanisms.

And so many other different self coping mechanisms that we have that we don't even know that we're doing. And I almost just feel like I just need to slow everything down.
